Residency Locations
A learner engaged in the Acacia program will have the most pivotal component of their education come about via short-term residencies in developing communities. Here they will work with established NGOs and community leaders who are focused on long-term sustainability and empowerment.
While the residency is short-term, the potential exists for individuals or corporations that are serious about social responsibility to engage in longer-term partnerships with the communities and community members. The investment of resources, assistance, and expertise can be invaluable contributions to an individual child, family or community – and focuses on true engagement, leading to empowerment for all
parties.
Our partner’s communities currently have a variety of needs to be fulfilled, and experiences to offer. We work closely with our NGO partners to ensure that our commitment is timely, respectful and valued – and work hard to ensure that our presence is not a burden or intrusive.
With this in mind we also work hard to provide the type of experience your organization is looking for and understand that there may be different causes, locations or needs to be explored. To meet those needs a custom experience may be created for you and your company…
